Publicity Lodge 1000 971st Communication
May 1, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Brothers, I would like to thank all of you for a warm and friendly welcome into the East. Our work has just begun and this year the plans are to contribute to making a difference in the of the people who are less fortunate than ourselves. At our September 12th Communication we elected and installed a new Treasurer Brother Hubert Delaney for the ensuing year of 2016-2017. Hubert’s background allows him the ability to provide a sound understanding of finance and with him now handling our operating and investments the lodge is in great hands.
We had an excellent officers meeting to review all aspects of Publicity Lodge. As our fraternity continues to flourish; In the near future we will be addressing operating costs, budgets, investment ideas that will allow Publicity to operate in an effective manner. Brothers you are all part of these discussions, ideas, decisions and participation in Lodge is a must to be heard.
Our Grand Lodge of New York has instituted membership identification, which is available for all Masons and will be required to gain access to the building in the near future. These ID’s take a few minutes to process and the room is adjacent to the Wendell Walker Lounge, which will work towards keeping our building secure. As we have seen security is a must these days with the happenings in this world right in our backyard. We should all be thankful that no one’s life was taken and the felon apprehended. Take a minute to tell the ones in your life that you love them
As we enter Autumn, also known as fall in North American English, is one of the four temperate seasons. Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter, on September 21st (Northern Hemisphere) or March 21st (Southern Hemisphere), when the arrival of night becomes noticeably earlier and the temperature cools considerably. It is during this transitional period that we will receive the Official Visit of our Fourth Manhattan District Deputy Grand Master, R\W\ Addison Mon Cruz, representing the M\W\ Jeffrey M. Williamson, Grand Master of Masons in The State of New York, on Monday, November 7. The evening of this Official Visit of the District Deputy Grand Master is always an important one in the life of the Lodge, and I encourage every Brother to attend and hear the Message of The Grand Master as presented by R\W\ Bro. Mon – a long time great friend of Publicity Lodge.
